Common Questions

Do I need to have my own firearms or ammunition to take your classes?

No, I have specific firearms, and training aids to facilitate the completion of training for my students.

Do I need firearms safety training to apply for a Washington State Concealed Carry Permit?

No, you do not need any form of firearms training to obtain a Concealed Carry Permit. Washington State is a Right To Carry State. You just need to apply at your local Law Enforcement Agency. If you have any Felony Convictions or Domestic Violence arrests, your permit will be denied.

How long does your basic firearms class take?

My average class for a new beginner typically takes about 2 hours of training time. The class covers firearms safety, firearms manipulation, sight picture, trigger press, recoil mitigation, marksmanship, safe handling, and storage. Advanced students will take less time, and involve more shooting dynamics and target acquisition drills.

Does the instructor, Bruce, have certifications?

Yes, Bruce has certifications for many disciplines including certified NRA Law Enforcement Instructor: Handguns, USCCA Certified Instructor, and ASI Range Officer.
